Question by Amanda S.: Did anyone notice this year, while trick or treating….?
that there were more homemade costumes? For example, I saw a young girl dressed in a house robe with slippers and her hair was sprayed gray…. I saw a few boys whose clothes were tattered and they had blood placed on their face and clothes. I think that it is great that kids are using their own imagination and using their own resources? Do you agree and what have you seen this year?

i think the parents convinced their kids into making their own costumes because they can not afford 60 dollar cheap materialed ones anymore.

I am having a birthday party for my 5 year old daughter and 1 year old son. What are some good foods that I can serve (its a halloween party) I dont want anything gruesome, like the string cheese that looks like fingers and stuff. That is too much for the little kids. The party is going to be outside, because of the HUGE guest list… and it might be a little cold, this time of year you can never tell around here. So, I need to know what would be good to serve. We are definetly having cupcakes that look like pumpkins and a tropical punch that I am going to put a couple of packets of unsweetened orange koolaid in to give it color. I will probably decorate with jack-o-lanterns and orange and black streamers and balloons. We have asked the children guests to wear their costumes. PLease help… I am so stumped. I thought we would have hot dogs and homemade chili, but I was late in reserving my shelter and now there is a very huge chance that we wont be able to get under a shelter and I wont have an outlet to plug in a crockpot for the chili. I dont want to cook AT THE PARTY, like grill, because after all I am having 2 SMALL childrens parties, without a lot of help… there is alot that I am going to have to do… so if I could offer premade foods, then that would be great!

Question by Havoc Angel: Halloween confusion leads to my Dog’s arrest….?
Well my Sidekick and me especially like Halloween even though we cannot afford the costumes, so we go to the halloween store with a few of my buddies and dress up and fight. For example we All dressed up this last time like Power Rangers and dressed my Dog like a monster.

The mask was too big and he couldn’t see through it. I hit him over the head and so did my friends with some toy swords and he was confused running in circles.

Some little kids found it funny and joined in, all was funny and a laughing matter until my one friend lost control and slammed a trash can over my Dog’s head and knocked the mask off.

When the mask fell off the dumb dog bit some kid. The kid started crying and I slammed a shelf over on top of him pinning him tot he ground and knocking him out cold. The store owner ran over to investigate and I showed my heroism and said the dog attacked the boy and I saved him.

I was the hero but shortly after the authorities came and muzzled my Dog and took him away. Is my dog going to the dark side? When my Dog gets out of the pound do you think he will be a changed dog?

Walking down Parker Street at twilight alone, seemed a bit frightening to Lily, considering it was a horrible city, not to mention at the break of dawn. The air was rowdy; autumn colored leaves were blowing in every direction causing Lily to block them from hitting her face. Lily was dressed as a school girl for the Halloween party, she was hoping there would be someone she knew, she wouldn’t want to devote her Friday to being alone for the next three hours in a building. The hall was rent for the cause, all the money get received would go to charity.

“Name?” Ethan Fitch spoke. Ethan was one of Lily’s fellow classmates.

“Ethan, you’ve known me for years.” She looked confused.

“That’s no exception, Lily Beals! Name?” He spit.

“Lily Beals,” She rolled her eyes in exasperation.

Then, a girl dressed in a wild zebra pattern approached Ethan, followed by two girls with frizzy waist length hair, with 80′s styled rounded horn rimmed spectacles. One was taller than the the other.

“Name?” Ethan spoke.

“Marietta Mason, Casey Fitzgerald, and Cora Fitzgerald.” The girl with the zebra print declared. Lily recognized Marietta and Casey, and she soon did the same for Cora, Casey’s younger sister from grade 6A.

“Hello.” Casey pushed her glasses up her nose.

“Hey, I didn’t know you were coming.” Lily said with a half smile trying to sound social.

“I didn’t arrange too– I was doing Cora’s makeup all day, and I had nothing better to do.” She looked straight ahead tapping her fingers on her lap.

“Well, ‘wanna wait in line to go in the haunted house,” Lily tried to talk to her. “I heard some kid had a seizure, then someone else wet themselves!” She snickered.

“Are you suggesting we go and make fun of them?” She looked disgusted.

“No! Of course not! I was just thinking that we could–”

Lily was cut off.

“Very well,” She sighed, folded her arms then was in the long line along with her sister and Marietta. Then a girl in a wizard costume, followed by three boys came. Lily automatically recognized the two boys as Jared McCoy and Kai Mathews– the last people she wanted to encounter.

“Beals, what the hell are you?” Jared made a face as if he just tasted something very bitter.

“A school girl, and you are..?” She tried to ignore them.

“I’m Kai.” Kai gave a goofy smirk.

“Your costume is horrifying,” Lily looked at him. “Hasn’t anyone told you you’re not suppose to wear your homely Halloween mask all year long?”

“If we wanted to be homely,” Jared spit, “We would have been you, Beals on Wheels!” He pointed at her.

For about the next forty-five minutes, they were all talking about random things, finally it was their turn to get into the lift.

“I’ll go in front,” Declared Jared, “I’m not scared!” He looked arrogant.

“Pleasure,” Casey rolled her eyes.

Jared was in front, followed by Marietta, Jeanette, Cora, Lily, Kai, then Casey.

The gang were biting their lips, except Jared who’s arrogance was now starting to get annoying.

They took their first step out, and Lily heard someone yell, “OW!” then a bam. Without thinking, a brink felt like it sunk to her stomach, and she grabbed Kai’s hand. Then once she realized what she was doing to released. In the corner of her emerald eyes, she saw a person in a clown suit with a plastic knife in pain. Jared punched the clown!

“Get out!” A lady who worked there yelled, and Lily took one step back into the elevator.

“You owe me a dollar!” Casey slapped Jared in the back of the head.

well if u ever heard of halloween city they have costumes and decorations its a party city it changes during the seasons like for chirstmas the store will have christmas stuff in there and walmart doesnt have much so if you know where halloween city is then go there in my state its at the old mall and im sure they have them in other states also

watch the movies or go to the disney web site. they would have the most acurate designs for your costume. if you dont want to be trashy or sexy, you could go with belle, cinderella, snow white, etc.

Book a Resort with a Great Pool

Kids love swimming pools, and Disney resorts come with some of the best. Children’s favorites: the Volcano Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Resort featuring a smoking volcano slide, underwater music, and sparkling waterfall, all with a superb view of the Seven Seas Lagoon; the Wilderness Lodge’s boulder-lined pool featuring glistening waterfalls, rocky overlooks, a fun water slide, and nearby geyser; the eye-popping Stormalong Bay, a mini-water park complex that meanders between the Yacht and Beach Club, offering three acres of winding, watery delight including sandy bottom pools, a giant “shipwreck” waterslide, tidal whirlpool, bubbling hot tubs, a kiddie pool with its own slide next to the beach, and enough length to float lazily in inner tubes to your heart’s delight.

Have a Meal With Disney Characters

If you’re traveling with young children, at least one or two character meals are a must. These extremely popular dining spots, offered at both the theme parks and the Disney resort hotels, are a perfect way for the grandchildren to spend extra time with their favorite characters. This teenager showed up to my door telling me he was a robot because he had a noodle strainer on his head.I told him his creativity was bogus and gave him no Twix. Was it his fault or his parents fault for such a sad costume? Or am i just picky?

You should have gave him his candy… no offense, but that was kinda mean. The kid was just trying to express himself. Sure, his costume wasn’t good/creative, but you shouldn’t deny him Halloween candy!
